A Steam Deck at ₹40K (grey market import) plays the same Steam library as a ₹70K mid-range gaming PC. For mid-tier games — most of what an Indian gamer actually plays — the experience is comparable, with the form-factor advantage going to the Deck. The mid-range PC market for gamers ₹50-80K is the segment most disrupted. High-end PCs (₹1.5L+) remain unaffected — they target AAA, ultra-settings, high-refresh-rate use cases the Deck can't match. But the casual-to-mid Indian gamer who would've built a ₹70K rig in 2024 is increasingly buying a Steam Deck or going full console with PS5.
