TIME, IMS, CL — they all teach the same syllabus from the same material. The ₹40K-1L price tag is a brand premium, not value.

The CAT coaching industry in India is structurally a brand-premium business. TIME, IMS, Career Launcher all teach the same syllabus from the same exam pattern. The actual differential value of paying ₹40K-1L for offline coaching versus a ₹3,000 online subscription to a focused YouTube channel plus a ₹5,000 mock test series is small to none. The value coaching does provide is structure and peer pressure for self-discipline-challenged students. If you can self-discipline, the savings are ₹35K-90K. If you can't, the coaching fee is buying accountability — which is fine, but worth pricing honestly.

The budget breakdown is really helpful. Was planning ₹1L for 2 but looks like we need to revise up.
